This website is for the descendants of Joseph, Green, Emory, William and Fannie Allen, free people of color born 1803-1824 in Northampton County, North Carolina. The brothers migrated to Logan County, Ohio about 1835 and thirteen years later to Cass County, Michigan. Fannie stayed in North Carolina and William died in Ohio. The Allen Reunion has been held since 1930, with a hiatus during the years of World War II. We have held our reunion in Cass County, Michigan, with other host cities of Lansing, Ecorse, Detroit, Livonia, Novi and Grand Rapids, Michigan; Columbus, Ohio; Richmond, Elkhart and South Bend, Indiana and Chicago, Illinois. |
